    ANTHONY PAPPAS

    President

    Anthony Pappas is the President of Pappas Group, one of DC's leading creative agencies. Anthony recently led rebranding initiatives for Blackboard, Discovery Education, Network Solutions, Georgetown University, Destination DC, and a global rebrand currently underway for Rosetta Stone. Prior to establishing Pappas Group in 2003, Anthony was the Vice President and Executive Creative Director at Proxicom, where he developed and executed creative strategy and interactive marketing/design for more than fifty Fortune 500 clients, including Nike, General Electric, Mazda, North America,

    Timberland, Merrill Lynch, Mercedes-Benz, Cole Haan, Liz Claiborne, Marriott, Gap, Microsoft, and Pepsi. Prior to Proxicom, Anthony worked with the advertising industry's largest agencies, including Saatchi & Saatchi and Grey Advertising. Anthony has a column in The Washington Business Journal, Branding-The Bottom Line. He holds a BFA from C. W. Post Long Island University in Graphic Design, with a Minor in Advertising.

    STEFAN POULOS

    Creative Director

    Stefan leads creative teams in strategic development, execution, and promotion of brands. He joins Pappas following 12 years as Creative Director at Discovery Channel, where his work across all disciplines helped brand and promote many of the network's most recognizable programs. At Discovery Channel, Poulos' responsibilities encompassed all disciplines of work including print, outdoor, interactive and social media, as well as coordinating with the on-air team to ensure creative consistency across all platforms. His acclaimed work for programs including Deadliest Catch, Dirty Jobs, Mythbusters, Planet Earth, and

    Shark Week reached a global audience in 170 countries.
    Poulos graduated from Ringling School of Art and Design in 1997, and his foundation of drawing and painting naturally evolved into the vast world of design communication. He collaborated with Pappas Group in the past on an award-winning campaign that attracted more than five million visitors in 30 days to a website to promote the launch of the Discovery Channel program, Future Weapons.

  • Jeremy Gilman

    JEREMY GILMAN

    Strategy Director

    Jeremy joined Pappas Group in 2006 and shortly thereafter began building the agency's strategy and planning capabilities. As Strategy Director, Jeremy leads a multidisciplinary team of professionals that tackle branding, digital, and media strategy across all client accounts. With a background that spans integrated marketing strategy and technology startups, Jeremy has led strategic planning for clients like Discovery Channel, GEICO, .CO Internet, Blackboard, Destination DC, Georgetown University, Network Solutions, and Olay.

    Before joining Pappas Group, Jeremy spent 3 years in account management and global planning positions at Lowe Worldwide. While at Lowe, he played a critical role on a Johnson & Johnson Global Advertising Team that oversaw day-to-day operations, global brand strategy, and creative development on 6 J&J brands in 81 Lowe offices around the world. Jeremy's work has received numerous awards like the Webby Awards, Rebrand 100 Awards, Smashing Apps, and AIGA. Jeremy earned his BA in International Affairs from George Washington University.

  • Phil Reed

    PHIL REED

    Director of Client Service

    Phil brings over 15 years experience in marketing project management, including interactive design and development experience. For Pappas Group, Phil leads the Client Services group of three Account Managers. Prior to joining Pappas Group in 2009, Phil was the Vice President, Client Services for AgencyQ where he led their largest programs including a $2 million program spanning seven discrete projects for Tyco International and digital marketing efforts for Rack Room Shoes. For over ten years, Phil was at Proxicom (now iCrossing) where he project managed a $7M web

    project for Leo Burnett and led the efforts to redesign the Volkswagen and DuPont websites. Phil was the lead User Experience designer for Merrill Lynch’s ML Direct, Nike’s e-Commerce site, Marriott International’s consumer sites and intranet, Toyota Motor Sales and Saab consumer sites.

  • Keith Mallett

    KEITH MALLETT

    Studio Director

    Keith is a dynamic team leader with 20 years of experience effectively managing creative teams of various sizes at agencies such as Iris Worldwide, Zimmerman Advertising Partners, and Cooper DDB. Mallett is also a versatile designer with an emphasis in 3D visualization and modeling. Keith has received numerous awards for his work on campaigns for brands such as Sony, Johnnie Walker, Carnival Cruise Lines, Coldwell Banker and Reebok.

  • Allison Mataya

    ALLISON MATAYA

    Sales & Marketing Director

    Allison is always working to attract and develop relationships with clients interested in a true strategic partnership. And her competitive edge has made her a strong asset in business development. While at Pappas Group, Allison has helped secure new relationships with Rosetta Stone, Hilton Hotels and TLC. While at Arnold Worldwide, she secured business for Amtrak, Choice Hotels, and The Bahamas Ministry of Tourism. Additionally, her professional experience includes managing the Mercedes-Benz business on a regional and corporate level while at Merkley + Partners.

    Allison also gained experience working at agencies such as Young & Rubicam and Grey Advertising on Xerox and Kraft Foods. Allison sits on the DC Ad Club Board of Directors and is on the DC Ad Week Steering Committee. When Allison isn't in hot pursuit of the next big thing, she is chasing her three-year-old son around the playground in Adams Morgan with her husband.
